(A) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

1.         THE PUNJAB DOMESTIC WORKERS BILL 2018 (BILL No. 30 of 2018)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Domestic Workers Bill 2018, as recommended by Special Committee No.1, be taken into consideration at once.

         A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Domestic Workers Bill 2018, be passed.

2.         THE NAMAL INSTITUTE MIANWALI BILL 2019 (BILL No. 02 of 2019)

            A MINISTER to move that the Namal Institute Mianwali Bill 2019, as recommended by Special Committee No.3, be taken into consideration at once.

         A MINISTER to move that the Namal Institute Mianwali Bill 2019, be passed.

3.         THE PUNJAB OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH BILL 2019 (BILL No. 01 of 2019)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Occupational Safety and Health Bill 2019, as recommended by Special Committee No.3, be taken into consideration at once.

         A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Occupational Safety and Health Bill 2019, be passed.

4.         THE PUNJAB PREVENTION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST BILL 2018 (BILL No. 28 of 2018)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Prevention of Conflict of Interest Bill 2018, as recommended by Special Committee No.1, be taken into consideration at once.

         A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Prevention of Conflict of Interest Bill 2018, be passed.

with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool .

At this stage, Quorum was pointed out. After ringing bells for five minutes the quorum was incomplete. The Chair adjourned the Proceedings for fifteen minutes. At resumption the Quorum was still incomplete and the Chair again adjourned the Proceedings for fifteen minutes. After resumption the quorum was complete and the proceedings commenced.

Question Hour

Questions relating to Local Government & Community Development Department were asked and Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Local Government & Community Development answered the questions.

Adjournment Motions

Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved on 04-10-2018 by Mr Naseer Ahmad regarding closure of Kilns from 20 October to 31 December 2018 to control smog instead of using modern technology and issuance of letter in this regard by the Punjab Environment Protection Department to Kiln owners resulting in restlessness among workers and owners and the Motion moved on 04-12-2018 by Mr. Muhammad Rizwan regarding illegal possession of 1 kanal land at Davis Road Lahore by property grabbers having political influence and appeal by the real owners of the property to the Chief Minister of Punjab to get the land vacated and retrieve its possession in their favor was kept pending.

Consideration and Passage of Bills

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bills, which were passed by the House.

1.    The Punjab Domestic Workers Bill 2018 (Bill No. 30 of 2018);

2.    The Namal Institute Mianwali Bill 2019 (Bill No. 02 Of 2019); and

3.    The Punjab Occupational Safety And Health Bill 2019 (Bill No. 01 Of 2019).

After completion of agenda, the House was adjourned at 02:51 p.m. to meet on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
