Question Hour
Questions relating to Auqaf & Religious Affairs and Transport Departments were asked and Syed Saeed Ul Hassan, Minister for Auqaf & Religious Affairs answered the questions. Ch Zaheer Ud Din, Minister for Public Prosecution, replied to the questions related to Transport Department in terms of notification issued by S&GAD empowering him to look after the Assembly Business and to reply to the Assembly questions in absence of Mr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan Khichi, Minister for Transport.
At this stage, Mr. Speaker welcomed the British delegation to the august House led by Mayor Samia Chaudhry, London Borough of Hounslow.
Formation of a Committee
On a point of order moved by Mr. Muhammad Waris Shad, he drew the attention of the Chair towards the loss being faced by small growers/farmers especially in colonial districts of south Punjab at the hands of the Punjab Revenue Department which is retrieving leased agricultural land from them hence, confiscating as well as damaging ripen/standing crops on these lands. Mr. Speaker constituted a Committee to be headed by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs comprising the following members to inquire into the matter: -

2. Ch Zaheer Ud Din, Minister for Public Prosecution
3. Mr. Muhammad Sibtain Khan, Minister for Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries

DISCUSSION ON ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PUNJAB BAIT-UL-MAAL FOR THE YEAR 2012
Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs presented before the House the Annual Report of the Punjab Bait-ul-Maal for the year 2012 for discussion in terms of Section 11 (2) of Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Act, 1991, which was later on discussed.
CONTINUATION OF GENERAL DISCUSSION ON FOOD AND AGRICULTURE
General Discussion on Food and Agriculture continued for the second day. Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial, Minister for Agriculture and Mr Samiullah Chaudhary, Minister for Food concluded the discussion on Food and Agriculture respectively. Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial, Minister for Agriculture informed the House that the Government is working for the betterment of small farmers, therefore, interest free loans are being provided to them, reforms in the Market Committees are under way including their restructuring and new infrastructure and new Act pertaining to Market Committees will be tabled in the House. Mr Samiullah Chaudhary, Minister for Food in his speech stated that the Government would ensure full payment to the sugar growers. He said stern action would be taken against those giving less price to them. He further added that the Government had zero tolerance towards adulteration and production of substandard edibles. Mr. Ahmad Khan, Chaudhary Mohammad Iqbal, Ms Zainab Umair, Sheikh Alla-ud-Din, Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Mr. Muhammad Arshad Javed, and Mr Muhammad Arshad Malik participated in the general discussion.
The House was then adjourned at 04:27 p.m. to meet on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 09:00 a.m.
