1.   THE PUNJAB JUDICIAL ACADEMY ORDINANCE 2007 (Pb. Ord. IV of 2007)

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Punjab Judicial Academy Ordinance, 2007.

 

 

 

2.   LAYING OF REPORT ON OBSERVANCE AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PRINCIPLES OF POLICY FOR THE YEAR 2005

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Report on the Observance and Implementation of Principles of Policy for the year 2005.

 

 

 

3.   THE UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION , LAHORE (AMENDMENT) BILL 2006 (Bill No.25 of 2006)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Education, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2006, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Education , Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2006, be passed.

Summary of Proceedings

SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS

05 March, 2007

 

 Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Deputy Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran.

OATH:-

Ms Surraya Nasim member-elect on the reserve seat after the murder of Zill-e-Huma made an oath and Deputy Speaker administered the oath.

 QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to the Health Department were asked and answers were given by Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal Minister for Health.

CALL ATTENTIONS NOTICES:-

The first call attention notice moved by Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman regarding killing of A.S.I. in the area of Satellite Town Gujranwala by the dacoits, was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

            The second call attention notice was moved by Malik Asghar Ali Qaisar. The notice was about killing of 9-year old Muhammad Afaq by Muhammad Sajid and co-accused at Rajana Mandi Pir Mahal Toba Tek Singh. The notice was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.  

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which, Adjournment Motion moved by Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad was about giving of extension to the Professors after retirement resulting in unemployment among fresh post graduates. The motion was kept pending.

 The Adjournment Motion moved by Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman about non-establishment of THQ Hospital in Noshera Virkan thus causing problems for the patients of that area was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

PRIVILEGE MOTION:-

Privilege Motion moved by Ch. Tasneem Nasir was about misbehavior of Principal Government High School Jada, and EDO (E) District Jehlum with the mover.  The motion was referred to the Privilege Committee.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid “The Punjab Judicial Academy Ordinance 2007 (Pb. Ord. IV of 2007)”. which was referred to the Standing Committee on Law and Parliamentary Affairs for report by 30 April 2007.

He also laid the report on “Observance and Implementation of Principles of Policy for the year 2005.”

 “The University Of Education, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2006 (Bill No. 25 of 2006)” as recommended by the Standing Committee on Education was considered clause by clause and was passed by the House.

The House was then adjourned till 10.00 am on Tuesday, 6 March 2007.
