(a)  CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILL

      THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT BILL 2021 (BILL No. 78 of 2021)

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rule 95(3) and all other relevant rules of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, may be suspended under Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for immediate consideration of the Punjab Local Government Bill 2021 as recommended by the Standing Committee on Local Government and Community Development.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government Bill 2021, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Local Government and Community Development, be taken into consideration at once.

         A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government Bill 2021, be passed.

(b)  LAYING OF REPORTS

1.         A MINISTER to lay the Annual Report of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) for the Financial Year 2018-19.

2.         A MINISTER to lay the Annual Performance Reports of Punjab Ring Road Authority for the Financial Years 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20.

Question Hour

Questions relating to Environment Protection Department were asked and answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Cooperatives, Environment Protection & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motion

The Adjournment Motion moved by Mr Tariq Masih Gill that despite the cancellation of the NOC by the Environment Department, WASA had made the lives of around 1600 students miserable by constructing sewage disposal along the wall of New Covenent School System in the Dawood Colony Faisalabad educating children from poor families. Around 16 children died suffering from hepatitis and other fatal diseases. Despite several protests, these disposal wells were not covered and the Motion was kept pending.

On a motion moved by, Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, the House granted leave that the requirements of Rules 95 (3) and all other relevant rules of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be suspended in terms of Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for immediate consideration of The Punjab Local Government Bill 2021 (Bill No.78 of 2021)”, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Local Government and Community Development, which was later passed by the House.

Laying of Reports

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Cooperatives, Environment Protection & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the following reports:

1.         The Annual Report of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) for the Financial Year 2018-19.

2.         The Annual Performance Reports of Punjab Ring Road Authority for the Financial Years 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20.

The House was then adjourned at 07:03 p.m. to meet on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 03:00 p.m.
