The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of the Sardar Naeem Khan Mazari, father-in-law of Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly.

Laying of Report

 

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs presented before the House, the report of Standing Committee on Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education in respect of “The University of Child Health Sciences, Lahore Bill 2021 (Bill No. 27 of 2021)”.

 

Zero Hour

 

Eight Zero Hour Notices were taken up. The Notice of Ms Mehwish Sultana moved on 26-01-2021 that while taking sou-moto notice by Supreme Court of Pakistan, two cement factories established in District Chakwal paid fine of rupees 70 million as per court orders to District Government Chakwal for illegally using underground water of the said area especially Tehsil Choua Saiden Shah and money recovered should be spent in providing water to the affected area, the Notice of Syed Hassan Murtaza regarding Principal, Government College of Technology, Samanabad, Faisalabad was appointed in violation of required criteria of B.Sc (Engineering) and ten years experience in the relevant field and the Notice of Syed Usman Mehmood regarding non-payment of salaries to Work Charge Baildars of Irrigation Department, District Rahim Yar Khan, were disposed of as the movers were not present. Mr Muhammad Tahir Pervaiz moved a Notice that public was deprived of cash, gold, mobile phones and ornaments in 60 dacoity incidents and street crime occurred within the premises of Police Stations of Sargodha Road, Chak 366 G/B, Peoples Colony, Mamu Kanjan, Batala Colony and Ghulam Muhammad Abad etc., the Notice moved by Ms Neelum Hayat Malik that despite the fact that the academic year had started on 1 April in private schools across the Province but so far syllabus was not provided in all branches of The Crescent School Shadman, Lahore Grammar School and The Trust and secondly due to COVID-19 full fee was being charged in violation of Lahore High Court orders, were disposed of after replied by the concerned Minister. The Notice of Mr Sami Ullah Khan that the approved project of Ring Road Rawalpindi was changed by the administration to favour many private housing schemes and politicians hence, bringing a loss of Rs.25 billion to the national exchequer, the Notice of Ms Neelum Hayat Malik that out of 363 Patwar Khana in Lahore, 142 had been closed, while 221 Mouza Jat were active and residents intending to get ownership and transfer orders were facing extreme problems and the Notice moved by Mr Agha Ali Haider that Provincial Government owned 50 acres land in Syed Wala District Nankana Sahib was allotted to local landlords under Tha Khwah Scheme, which was not saleable and non-transferable but allottee were selling the land after constructing illegal Housing Colonies on it, were kept pending.

 

Adjournment Motion

 

The Adjournment Motion moved by Mr Sajid Ahmad Khan regarding change of Social Security Hospital Saihiwal to Dispensary by the administration of Punjab Employees Social Security Institution, which was established in 1980 in Small Industrial Estate, District Sahiwal and was upgraded occasionally. Due to degradation of this hospital, thousands of registered workers and their families had been deprived of medical facilities that they were receiving for years, was referred to the Special Committee No.9 with the directions to submit its report within two months.

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the Special Study on provision of Non-Salary Budget in School of District Sheikhupura, for the Audit Year 2017-18 which was referred to the Public Accounts Committee-II with the direction to examine and submit its report within one year.

 

Continuation and Conclusion of General Discussion

 

General Discussion on Agriculture was concluded by Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi, Minister for Agriculture.
