Question Hour

Questions relating to Livestock & Dairy Development Department were asked and replied by Sardar Husnain Bahadar Dreshak, the Minister concerned.

Call Attention Notices

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Ms. Rabia Naseem Farooqi regarding sudden death of forty five year old man while cleaning gun at Sundar Lahore and the second Notice moved by Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt regarding murder of a mobile shop keeper on resistance during dacoity at Nawab Town Lahore, were disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Laying of Report

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the Audit Report on the Accounts of Expenditure of Government of the Punjab for the Audit Year 2017-18 (Vol-I & Vol-II) which was referred to the Public Accounts Committee No.II with the direction to examine and report within one year.

Adjournment Motions

Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motions moved by Mr. Muhammad Safdar Shakir and Ch Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar were clubbed together being on the same subject matter regarding negligence of Police Department during an attack on Punjab Institute of Cardiology by the Lawyers which resulted in death of patients and damage to the Hospital property were referred to the Special Committee No.6. Two Motions of Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt, one regarding shortage of dog bite vaccine at RHC, Zafarwal and the other Motion moved on 23-12-2019 regarding death of a five year old boy due to the expired injection, demanding to take strict action against quacks were disposed of after replied by the concerned Minister. The Motion moved by Ms. Shaheen Raza regarding establishment of a Marriage Law Bureau Authority to be attached with the Department of Social Welfare Department, to register, regularize Marriage Bureaus and to legislate upon them and to determine compatibility between the would be couple morally and physically by conducting their different medical tests, the Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Abdullah Warraich regarding four hundred buses which had been off road by Lahore Transport Company due to its restructuring hence, creating problems for the masses, the Motion moved by Ms. Khadija Umer regarding non-availability of Schools for girls in Tehsil and District Sahiwal in proportion with the population and up-gradation of Government Girls Middle School Chak No.5/56-L and the Motion moved by Ms. Zainab Umair regarding appointment of legal consultants on merit in all the Departments of Punjab with the permission of Law Department and to amend Punjab Rules of Business, 2011 for the purpose, were kept pending.

Zero Hour

The Motion of Ms. Uzma Kardar moved on 02-05-2019 regarding increase in the fee of MBBS and BDS students for the session 2018-19 by the Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine and Dentistry and final year students have been directed to pay difference in the tuition fee amounting to Rs.238,824/- by 15 May 2019 which is not fair, was disposed of after replied by the concerned Minister
