(A) INTRODUCTION OF BILL
THE PUNJAB UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY RASUL BILL 2018
A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab University of Technology Rasul Bill 2018.
(B) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS
1. THE PUNJAB SOUND SYSTEMS (REGULATION) (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 13 of 2018)
A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the said rules, for immediate consideration and passage of the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2018.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2018, be passed.
2. THE PUNJAB LAND REVENUE (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 11 of 2018)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Standing Committee on Revenue, Relief and Consolidation, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2018, be passed.
3. THE REGISTRATION (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 12 of 2018)
A MINISTER to move that the Registration (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Standing Committee on Revenue, Relief and Consolidation, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Registration (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, be passed.

Question Hour
Questions relating to Agriculture, Schools Education and Higher Education Departments were on the agenda. Questions relating to Agriculture Department were kept pending till 8th May, 2018 by the Chair and the Questions relating to Higher Education Department were kept pending due to the absence of the concerned Secretary. Mrs. Joyce Rofin Julius, Parliamentary Secretary for School Education answered the questions.
Laying of Reports
Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi presented before the House the reports of Committee on Privileges in respect of “Privilege Motions No. 20 for the year 2015, 03, 06,09,11,13 for the year 2017 and 02 for the year 2018”.
Mr. Javed Akhtar presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Agriculture in respect of “The Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority Bill 2018 (Bill No. 20 of 2018)”.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik, the House granted extension upto 28th May, 2018 to the Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation for laying its report on “Starred Question No.8288 asked by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik, Advocate, MPA (PP-222)”.
On a Motion moved by Dr. Nausheen Hamid, the House granted extension up to 28th May, 2018 to the Standing Committee on Livestock & Dairy Development for laying its report on “The Punjab Animals Slaughter Control (Amendment) Bill 2016 (Bill No.5 of 2016) moved by Dr. Nausheen Hamid, MPA(W-356)”.
On a Motion moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth, the House granted extension upto 28th May, 2018 to the Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering for laying its report on “Starred Question No.8974”.
On a Motion moved by Ms. Raheela Anwar, the House granted extension upto 28th May, 2018 to the Standing Committee on Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries for laying its reports on “Starred Questions No. 8531,8960,9340 and 9282”.
At this stage, the Opposition walked out from the House for not apologizing by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs over the statement against PTI’s women workers gathered at the party’s Minar-e-Pakistan rally.
Suspension of Rules
On a motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar, the House granted leave that the requirements of rule 27 and all other relevant rules of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the said rules, for taking up “The Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Bill 2017 (Bill No. 31 of the 2017) for consideration and passage.
Government Business
Introduction of Bill
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced “The Punjab University of Technology Rasul Bill 2018”, before the House, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Industries, Commerce & Investment with the direction to submit its report up to 31st May, 2018.
Consideration and Passage of Bills
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved “The Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2018 (Bill No. 13 of 2018), which was unanimously passed by the House.
Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar moved “The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Bill 2017 (Bill No. 31 of the 2017)”, which was unanimously passed by the House.
The House was then adjourned at 12:02 p.m. to meet on Monday, May 07, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
