A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (Amendment) Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Services and General Administration, be taken into consideration at once.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Auqaf & Religious Affairs and Industries, Commerce & Investment Departments were asked and on the request of Mian Atta Muhammad Khan Maneka, Minister for Auqaf & Religious Affairs, answers were kept pending, while Ch Muhammad Shafique, Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment answered the questions.
Call Attention Notices
Five Call Attention Notices were taken up. Two Notices moved by Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana, one pending from the proceedings of April 06, 2015 about assassination of Anjum Shehzad Ansari, General Secretary, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Okara, the other Notice pending from the proceedings of May 18, 2015 regarding killing of passersby on resistance by dacoits who were snatching a bag of a woman thus killing twenty eight years old Mr Faheem and injuring Mr Naeem on April 13, 2015 at Mochi Bazar, North Cantt Lahore, the third Notice moved by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal regarding killing of a property dealer, resident of Johar Town by two unknown motorcyclists, the fourth Notice of current sitting moved by Mr Amanat Ullah Khan Shadi Khel regarding arresting and later killing of Mr Nadeem S/o Mr Lal Din, Mr Asghar S/o Mr Akhbar and Mr Anayat Ullah S/o Mr Saif Ullah in a fake encounter by the Police of Kalabagh Police Station at district Mianwali, were disposed of. The Notice of Ch Tahir Ahmad Sindhu, Advocate regarding dacoity at Ahli Rawana Thana, Kot Momin, Sargodha who tortured males and females present there, was kept pending till next week.
The Notices were answered by Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada, Minister for Home.
Adjournment Motions
Two Adjournment Motions were moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, one regarding rapid increase in the cases of child molestation and abuse in Punjab and demanded stern punishment for the elements involved in this heinous crime through summary trial which are adjudicated upon within few hours. He continued that parents of rape victims are unable to get justice and if these victims survive, they are unable to lead a normal life and demanded strict monitoring of places like schools, mosques, highways, motorways, and hotels located near bus stands through video tracking system, and the other Motion regarding involvement of officers of WASA in the theft of diesel supplied for operating generators worth millions of rupees and those officers were caught red handed by its MD Ch Muhammad Nasir who apprehended that this criminal act is not possible without the help of petrol pump owners and demanded that licenses of these petrol pump owners should be cancelled, were kept pending.
The Motion was answered by Ch Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Laying of Ordinance
Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid “THE GHAZI UNIVERSITY, DERA GHAZI KHAN (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2015” which was referred to the Standing Committee on Education with the direction to submit its report within two months.
Introduction of Bill
Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced “THE UNIVERSITY OF OKARA BILL 2015”, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Education with the direction to submit its report within two months.
Consideration and Passage of Bill
Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved “THE PUNJAB OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2015 (BILL No. 18 of 2015)” which was passed by the House.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned till Friday, May 22, 2015 at 9:00 am.
