MR IQBAL AHMAD KHAN, ADVOCATE, MPA

Mr Iqbal Ahmed Khan, son of Sahib Dad Khan, was born in 1934; did his graduation in 1954; and, LL.B. in 1971 from the University Law College Lahore. An agriculturist and lawyer, who was elected as member of District Council Toba Tek Singh in 1991; served as Chairman, Union Council 51, Chak 670/11-GB from 1979 to 1983 & 1983 to 1987; as Chairman, Markaz Thanna Pir Mehal from 1983 to 1987; and, as member District Ushr and Zakat Committee. He has been elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1977. On August 14, 1989, he received the Pakistan Movement Gold Medal which was posthumously awarded to his father (former MLA).

DR MUHAMMAD ANWAR-UL-HAQ, MPA

Dr Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq, son of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, (former President of Pakistan), was born on July 15, 1960 in Rawalpindi; and, obtained MBBS degree in 1985. Having been elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, for the third consective term, in 1997, he has been serving as such since 1990. He also functioned as Minister for Social Welfare.

Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan, son of Sardar Muhammad Murad Khan (former MPA), was born in 1964 at Chak No.184/GB, Toba Tek Singh; and, is a matriculate. An agriculturist, who was elected as member of District Council, Toba Tek Singh in 1991; and, as member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in the bye- election held in 1995; and, has been re-elected in 1997. He is Parliamentary Secretary (Ceased to hold office of Parliamentary Secretary upon proclamation of Emergency dated 12-10-99) for Auqaf, Ushr and Zakat since October 13, 1997.

Haji Ghulam Rabbani, son of Haji Barkat Ali, was born on May 1, 1936 at Chak No.244/GB, Tehsil Gojra; and, is a matriculate. A businessman, who has served as member of the Senate of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad; as President T.B. Association Gojra; as Chairman, Ihtisab Committee Toba Tek Singh; as member, Cost & Production Committee of the Punjab Government Agriculture Department; and, as Chairman, Market Committee Gojra. He was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1988, re-elected in 1993; and, has returned to the Assembly, for the third term, in 1997. He has been elected as Chairman Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation.

Mr Khalid Javed Warraich, son of Chaudhry Ali Asghar Warraich (former MPA), was born on May 1, 1962 in Gojra, Toba Tek Singh; and, is a matriculate. A businessman, who served as Councillor and Vice-chairman Municipal Committee Gojra for four years, and as Director, Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank for three years. He was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1993; and, has been re-elected in 1997. He also worked as Advisor to the Chief Minister during 1993-96.
