Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari son of Sardar Muhammad Hussain Mazari was born on 10 February 1948 at Rojhan, District Rajanpur. He graduated in 1967 from Government College, Lahore; and obtained the diploma of BCTD in Texitle from Black Burn College of Technology & Design U.K. An agriculturist, who was President Pakistan Student’s Association in Black Burn College of Technology & Design U.K. during 1969-70; remained Member, Board of Governors, Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur during 1977 and 1988-89. He served as Member District Council, D.G. Khan during 1979 and Rajanpur during 1982. He represented Pakistan twice in the United Nations General Assembly as a delegate in 1974 and 1995 and also represented Pakistan in an International Conference held at Basil, Switzerland in 1988-89. He has extensively travelled abroad including U.K., France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, USA, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Having been elected for the third term as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002, he has been elected Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on November 27, 2002. He served as Member, Punjab Assembly/Provincial Minister during 1977, and as Member, Punjab Assembly/Deputy Opposition Leader during 1988-90. His father-in-law, Sardar A.M.K. Mazari was MNA during 1988-90; his mother-in-law, Begum D.S. Mazari was MNA during 1985-88; his cousin, Sardar Balakh Sher Mazari served as Member Punjab Assembly, as Member, National Assembly and also remained Care-Taker Prime Minister of Pakistan; his cousin, Sardar Sher Baz Mazari, remained, MNA/Leader of Opposition, National Assembly during 1972-77; his cousins, Sardar Moeen Azam Mazari and Sardar Farhat Mazari, functioned as Parliamentary Secretary; his great grandfather, (late) Nawab Sir Imam Bakhsh Khan Mazari was Chief CIE(Companion of Indian Empire), KBE (Knighthood of British Empire), (1884-1903); cousin of his grandfather, (late) Nawab Sir Bahram Khan Mazari, was Member Privy Council, KBE (Knighthood of British Empire), from 1903 to 1923.
