Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan Bukhari son of Makhdoom Syed Muhammad Abdullah Shah Bukhari was born on February 2, 1972 at Multan. He obtained the degree of MBA in 2002 from University of Liverpool, UK. An agriculturist by profession, served as Member, District Council Muzaffargarh during 1998-99; and as Nazim, Muzaffargarh during 2001-02. He was a Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and 2008-13 and also functioned as Minister for Livestock & Dairy Development during 2003-07. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the third consecutive term in general elections 2013 and is performing the duties of Minister for Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering. He also served as Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal. His father was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1977, 1988-90, 1993-96 and 1997-99; and his brother, Makhdoomzada Syed Basit Ahmed Sultan Bukhari was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1997-99, 2010-13; Member, National Assembly during 2002-07 and is a sitting MNA.
